Network Airsoft

As you all know Network Airsoft is open to everyone from all over the globe, which presents a problem regarding languages (making sure everyone understands each other!). While of course we want everyone together, a big jumble of languages wouldn't be good for anyone.

Please understand this rule is for the good of the community and English is the main language simply because that is what the majority of the members speak. Also our moderators only speak English so we could not spot foreign abuse if it stared us in the face!

Rule:
All writing anywhere on Network Airsoft must be in English apart from in Groups And Wall Posts

In Groups writing can be in English and/or one other language natural to members of that Group due to it's name. For example "Airsofters From France" can contain English and French. A group that is not based on a location or is based on an English speaking location must contain only English writing.

The wall post owner has control of their wall and can delete anything they want.

Non-english anywhere else will result in a warning, and then if repeated (and/or not removed/changed to English), a ban.

Thank you for your co-operating.

Yeah I agree with Matt. Language packs can always be installed to our existing platform to tailor-fit what our member's language may be.

Hi Jhon,
At the moment it is hard to say exactly what the future of Network Airsoft is in terms of other languages. It is a rather complex issue because English-only speaking members don't want to have French (or any other language) interrupting the 'latest activity' and forum/blog posts would have to be kept separate.

If enough French airsofters express demand for a 100% French Network Airsoft to be launched it can be done, but the simplest way to for that to work is just to let Network Airsoft grow until there are enough French members for the launch of a French version to be an immediate success.

Hi,
I'm wondering : will that rule always stays ? I mean, there's still work to do on the website so it's easier to forbid the other languages for now (so there's no need to loose time controlling members' actions), but in the future will NA be available in French for example ? Hiring some bilingual moderators would help to keep that under control, no ?
( I use the example of French because doing all the languages is simply impossible, and if I guess right, there are way more french-speaking airsofters than ones speaking other languages (simply because there are more countries using it). )

Thanks for reading me,
(and sorry for my faults, as you see English isn't my mother language ^^)

Jhon
